Christmas traditions🎁🎄

I know you have read that and probably thought “it’s too early” and your right but I get excited. I don’t mean to upset anyone and I understand everyone has different beliefs and religions and you may not celebrate Christmas, I mean no offence!

December the 1st!
Never before!

December the 1st is our family tradition, no Christmas decorations before and not a day later, it’s been that way for as long as I can remember and it’s a tradition I have continued with my own little family in our house. Although it is difficult not to do it sooner as when Christmas preparations begin I feel like I’m 10 years old all over again.

When do you start your celebrations and put up the decorations?

Baking home made treats, watching it’s a wonderful life on Christmas Eve night, getting up at 7am on Christmas Day and a whole family dinner on Boxing Day! These are our main traditions in my family and the things I look forward to the most.

The family time, the comforting feeling, the smell of gingerbread and sounds of happy children are what make the holidays perfect for me.

What are some of your traditions?

What do you look forward to most?

I’d love to hear your thoughts

Much love

X

  1. Growing up we would go tree hunting during Thanksgiving weekend, and inevitably it would snow and we’d be bundled up and it would take forever. We’d somehow always initially pick one that had a bird’s nest in it, which meant good luck. A few of my favorite traditions during Christmas included baking my grandmother’s cookies, putting up the Lionel train around the tree, and setting out cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for Rudolph. As you can tell by our name, we love being nostalgic, too 🙂 Great post! Thanks for sharing!
